Untuk processor nya sendiri masih tipe lama yakni MediaTek MT6582 Quad-core 1.3 GHz dibarengi RAM sebesar 1GB dan tanpa jelas diketahui GPU apa yang dibenamkannya. Padahal Lenovo Vibe X S960 sudah mengandalkan resolusi layar full HD 1920x1080 piksel dan processor Quad core tipe terbaru dengan clock membesa hingga 1.5 Ghz. Sementara ini kamera utama Oppo R1 sebesar 8 megapiksel lengkap dengan fitur autofokus dan LED Flash.
